Everything is beginner-friendly, and we’ll pair you with someone helpful. No pressure. No egos. Just a safe and encouraging learning environment.
Nope! We’ve got you covered. We have loaner gis available for your trial class. If you decide to join, we’ll help you get fitted with your own gear. Just show up in comfortable athletic clothes and we’ll walk you through the rest.
Yes—especially at Five Rings. Safety is our top priority. We emphasize control, respect, and smart training habits. We’re
here to help you build confidence, not collect bruises. Our instructors and upper belts are here to guide you, protect you, and make sure your experience is positive and empowering.
All kinds! We have engineers, artists, students, parents, nurses, and teachers on the mat. Ages range from 4 to 84+. Some come to compete. Some come for fitness. Some come to feel more confident or just find their community. Everyone trains for their own reasons, but we grow together.
Start with 2–3 classes per week and go from there. Jiu Jitsu is a marathon, not a sprint. Life is busy—we get it. The key is consistency. Whether you’re training twice a week or five, we’ll help you make the most of your time on the mat.
No way. That’s not how we roll—literally. We foster a culture of mutual respect and controlled training. Everyone was a beginner once, and we’re all here to learn together.
